Subject: Request for Proposal (RFP No. 33/MOT/2025) – Preventive Maintenance on the 500MVA Maputo Mozal 2 Transformer 400kV-132kV-22kV – Maputo Substation – Mozambique.
1. Background:
The Mozambique Transmission Company- MOTRACO – is a limited liability company incorporated in Republic of Mozambique in 1998. The companies are a joint venture of Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM), Eskom holding (Eskom) and Eswatini Electricity Company (EEC). MOTRACO was created as a vehicle for co-operation with the primary objective of building, owning, operating, maintaining the Transmission system, and supplying electricity to the Mozal aluminium smelter in Mozambique and wheeling power to EEC and EDM.
Terms of Reference2. Scope of Work:
The contractor is required to conduct 6 yearly preventive maintenance as per scope and equipment below:

Conditions:
- All hands tools and scaffolding/cherry pickers/Crane shall be provided by the contractor.
- The outages for maintenance will be booked as per client and contractor agreement.
- The Contractor is responsible for providing oil for the Tap Changer and must submit the oil test result results before.

3. Format of Proposal:
A technical and financial proposal shall be submitted, detailing the following:
- Proposed process/method statement.
- Labour cost and time.
- Transport and equipment.
- Calibration certificate of testing equipment used.
- Minimum 2 references of works with similar scope.
- Eskom Authorization (for NORTHEAST GRID) for work in restricted areas.
