1. introduction

Companhia de Transmissão de Moçambique, known as MOTRACO, is a limited liability company incorporated in the Republic of Mozambique in 1998, with foreign registration in the Republic of South Africa and the Kingdom of Eswatini. The company is a joint venture between Eletricidade de Moçambique (EDM), Eskom and Eswatini Electricity Company (EEC). The shares are held equally between the three shareholders. MOTRACO was created as a cooperation vehicle with the main objective of building, owning, operating and maintaining the Transmission System, supplying power to Mozal, the aluminum smelter in Mozambique, and transporting power to EEC and EDM.

2. Description and Scope of Work

MOTRACO intends to hire a contractor to rehabilitate the security guards' house at the Maputo Substation. The scope of work consists of:

• Supply and installation of new sanitary ware and other items needed for the bathroom.
• Complete replacement of tiles, plumbing and installation of a bath shower.
• Complete refurbishment of the building's sewage system.
• Complete refurbishment of the building's exterior and interior paintwork, keeping the same color.
• Installation of a new three-phase feeder cable and respective protection to replace the existing one, to be installed from the AC distribution board in the main building to the security guards' house.
• Supply and installation of new switchboard, circuit breakers, sockets and lighting system.
• Supply and installation of a 5000 liter water tank and installation of a pump with pressure control and all the accessories necessary for its operation and integration into the building.
• The water system should include an outside tap, sink and a small shade.
• Once construction is complete, the contractor must supply all the drawings as built, in printed and digital format.

3. Location of the visit

The mandatory site visit is scheduled for February 7, 2024 at 10:30 am. Additional information will be provided during the visit.

4. Deadline for submissions

Proposals must be submitted by 12 noon on February 28, 2024 in a sealed envelope, including an electronic file, to the address below, accompanied by the following documents:

• Company records and license;
• References/Previous projects;
• Other supporting documents.

Proposals should include the following:

• Deadline;
• Work plan;
• Financial proposal.

The financial proposal must be presented on the basis of the scope of work.

Note:

The chosen contractor must be aware that all work on the Maputo Substation is carried out in the presence of a certified and experienced safety officer from the contractor, who must be present on site at all times during the work.
