1. Presentation:

The Mozambique Transmission Company (MOTRACO) is a limited liability company established in the Republic of Mozambique in 1998. The company is a joint venture between Mozambique Electricity (EDM), NTCSA and Eswatini Electricity Company (EEC). The shares are also held among the three shareholders. MOTRACO was created as a vehicle of cooperation with the main objective of building, owning, operating and maintaining the Transmission System and providing electricity to Mozal's aluminium foundry in Mozambique and transporting energy to EDM and ECE.

2. Description and context:

MOTRACO as part of its social responsibility project intends to finance the construction of a new classroom (1), the construction of latrines for students and the replacement of damaged structure and zinc plates in the existing rooms of the Full Primary School April 7th, located in the District of Namaacha, Impaputo. The aim is to provide better teaching and learning conditions for students in the school that is in the vicinity of the structures of MOTRACO’s high voltage lines.

3. Working Scope:

The scope of the work consists in the supply of materials and construction to:

3.1. New Classroom:

• Construction in masonry structure with foundation, walls and zinc cover.
• Installation of windows and doors according to national standards for classrooms.
• Floor of burnt cement.

3.2. WC construction:

• Construction of two (2) bathrooms for female students and two (2) bathrooms for male students, meeting hygiene standards and with ventilation and easy access.
• They must have running water.

3.3. Structure and Zinc Plates Replacement:

• Replacement of damaged zinc plates in the existing coverage of two classrooms.
• Repair of the wood structure of zinc plates to ensure safety and durability.

4. Place of Visit:

The mandatory visit to the site for clarification and measurements is scheduled for April 11 at 11:30.

Tenders should be submitted up to 12 hours of April 28, 2025 in sealed envelope, including electronic file, to the address below, accompanied by following documents:

• Company registrations; Building licenses;
• previous references/projects;
• Other supporting documents.

Proposals should include the following:

• implementation period;
• Work plan;
• detailed cost of the work;
• List of quantities of filled materials (To be supplied/produced).
