Subject: Request for submission of Proposals (RFP No. 23/MOT/2026) — Erosion Repair and Control in the Towers No 320, 323 and 325 of the Edwaleni Transmission Line—Maputo
1. Presentation
The Mozambique Transmission Company, known as MOTRACO, is a limited liability company established in the Republic of Mozambique in 1998, with foreign registration in the Republic of South Africa and the Kingdom of Eswatini. The company is a joint venture between Mozambique Electricity (EDM), Eskom and Eswatini Electricity Company (EEC). The shares are also held among the three shareholders. MOTRACO was created as a vehicle of cooperation with the main objective of building, owning, operating and maintaining the Transmission System and providing electricity to Mozal's aluminium foundry in Mozambique and transporting energy to EDM and ECE.

2. Contextualization
MOTRACO requested TECHNICA to carry out a study to mitigate erosion problems observed in the foundations and along the spans of the 400 kV Edwaleni-Maputo transmission line, which, in more serious cases, expose parts of the foundations, endangering the integrity of the line.
On the basis of the study carried out, TECNICA produced a technical report containing the analysis of the situation and the proposed solutions for solving the identified problems.
This competition is launched with the aim of selecting a contractor qualified for the execution of the solutions proposed by the consultant.

4. Scope of the work
Competitors are invited to submit their best technical and financial proposals for the implementation of the solutions submitted in accordance with the terms of reference and other annexed documents.
